Are you looking for a position where you can make an impact by managing a financial institution's product portfolio? If so, please read on, as this role is for you!
What you will do:
Lead First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union's enterprise product portfolio and product operating model so that product and service decisions advance member financial resilience, sustainable growth, and long-term member value. Translate the credit union's strategic plan into a disciplined portfolio, roadmap, and lifecycle that prioritize low-to-moderate income individuals, underserved communities, current members, businesses, and employer partners across physical, digital, and community channels. Apply four decision tests to products and services: strategic fit, economic strength, operational simplicity, and brand alignment. Owns discovery through sunset, aligns product design with service delivery, reduces member friction and unnecessary complexity, and balances contribution margin, cost-to-serve, risk, capacity, and member experience.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the credit union to ensure successful product launches and go-to-market strategies and deliver a best-in-class consumer experience. Demonstrate a strategic mindset, a passion for the credit union's mission, the ability to exercise creative and analytical skills while balancing opportunities and meeting business needs and lead through collaboration to:
• Translate First Commonwealth's Strategy House and Strategy Diamond into an enterprise product strategy, portfolio architecture, and prioritize roadmap that advances financial resilience, exceptional member experience, efficiency and innovation, and sustainable growth.
• Manage the integrated product and service portfolio across deposits, consumer and business lending, member value services, digital access, coaching and financial education, and risk and protection. Clarify each product's role in membership growth, funding, earnings, retention, trust, and operating efficiency. Own the product operating model, including the product charter, decision rights, governance forums, intake and prioritization, lifecycle stages, product ownership, data standards, technology enablement, and cross-functional product teams. Require every material product decision to demonstrate strategic fit, economic strength, operational simplicity, and brand alignment. Document tradeoffs and make clear recommendations to proceed, pilot, defer, improve, or sunset. Own and drive the product lifecycle from design, development, go-to-market, internal support, and road mapping
• Maintain a capacity-aware product roadmap. Limit concurrent material initiatives, evaluate cumulative operational impact, strengthen the foundation before expansion, and escalate work that would degrade service quality, efficiency, or delivery capacity. Develop, manage, and maintain the credit union's loyalty/relationship banking program with a focus on deepening member relationships and engagement, and increasing the organization's overall member value score
• Partner with Finance to establish product-level economics, including contribution margin, revenue, funding value, cost-to-serve, adoption, utilization, risk, and the path to economies of scale. Compare business-case forecasts with actual results and lead remediation when performance is off plan.
• Use member, market, competitive, operational, and behavioral insights to identify unmet needs, relationship drift, friction, and portfolio gaps. Prioritize solutions for low-to-moderate income individuals, underserved communities, current members, businesses, and employer partners. Design products and service delivery together. Define channel execution, disclosures, training, workflows, complaint handling, exception management, digital access, and service recovery so members receive a consistent experience across financial centers, digital channels, the contact center, and community partnerships. Build product and relationship strategies that increase member relevance and relationship depth, including direct deposit, multi-product relationships, proactive lifecycle engagement, digital usage, coaching, and financial education. Measure perceived value and operational friction, not only account openings or campaign response. Coordinate with training department to provide product and service details, sales tactics, and target market information to create product guides.
