The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in the overall administration, budgeting, and coordination of site development construction projects, acting as a liaison between the office, field, subcontractors, and clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Assist in managing project budgets, cost reports, and forecasting
- Support subcontractor buyout, contract administration, and scope negotiation
- Track and process change orders, pay applications, and billing
- Coordinate procurement and delivery schedules with the field team
- Assist in preparing and maintaining the master project schedule
- Support permitting, bonding, and regulatory compliance efforts
- Communicate with clients, engineers, and jurisdictional agencies as needed
- Help manage project risk, including identifying and resolving potential delays or cost overruns
- Assist with project closeout, warranty documentation, and final billing
- Mentor Project Engineers and support field staff with administrative needs
QUALIFICATIONS - 3-6 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in site development or civil work
- Strong understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, and contract management
- Familiarity with civil/site construction means and methods
- Proficiency with Procore, MS Project/P6, and cost management software
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
SALARY $85,000 to $120,000
