Description:

The Department of General Business, Marketing & Supply Chain Management (GMSCM) of the Marilyn Davies College of Business (MDCOB) at the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in Project Management and Process Improvement (PMPI) to begin in Fall 2027.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Project Management, Process Improvement, Operations Management, and related fields in face-to-face, online, and hybrid modalities.
  • Maintain an active research agenda resulting in peer-reviewed journal publications in relevant disciplines to meet AACSB standards.
  • Provide service to the department, college, university, community, and profession.
  • Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students.

Qualifications:
  • Earned doctorate (Ph.D. or DBA) in Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Management, or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated record or potential for research excellence and scholarly publication.
  • Demonstrated capability for effective teaching at the university level.
  • Demonstrated capability for curriculum development, course assessment management, and continuous course improvement.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma) are preferred but not required.
