DescriptionThe University of Rochester Department of Dermatology seeks to add a Dermatologist at the level of Assistant Professor to its Faculty. The responsibilities of this position include providing outpatient and inpatient dermatology services as well as teaching dermatology residents and medical students with a focus on our inpatient consult specialist (hospitalist) service.
The successful candidate must have an MD or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Dermatology and have (or be eligible) for a New York State medical license. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing and expanding an academic clinical practice in Dermatology at the University of Rochester Medical Center affiliated practices and will hold a primary faculty appointment in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Rochester. The candidate will provide clinical, as well as participate in educational programs for residents in Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Family Practice and medical students at the University of Rochester. Engagement in other academic pursuits may include scholarly efforts, presentation of lectures locally and nationally, and pursuit of clinical research. The referenced pay range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
