Description

The Assistant Director of Technology, reporting to the Director of Technology, will act as a senior technical resource for the New York Athletic Club. The primary focus will be to assist the Director of Technology with management of the IT systems, staff, and implementation of the Club's shifting focus to IT as a strategic partner across all functional areas. The Assistant Director of Technology will also act as team lead to ensure not only routine IT systems are maintained, but that the department is able to effectively implement and support new systems as directed by the Director of Technology.

The successful candidate will be able to transition from project work to help desk at a moment's notice. The candidate must be comfortable with varied responsibilities, constantly shifting demands, and a dynamically shifting set of required skills.

This is an in-office position requiring business professional attire, based in mid-town Manhattan. The candidate will be part of a small IT team supporting both NYAC offices in Manhattan, composed of 24 floors, 350,000 square feet including 180+ room hotel, and Pelham Manors offices across a 31-acre property. Flexibility is essential. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, team members will rotate weekly to work on-site at Pelham Manor. Reliable transportation to Pelham Manor is required. The candidate will also participate in after-hours, on-call, rotation to provide remote support for emergency incidents.

Requirements

  • 6 - 10 year's experience in a technical role of increasing responsibilities
  • 3+ years in an IT leadership role
  • Bachelor's degree (Information Technology or related field preferred)
  • Experience in hospitality preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and deliver projects on time and within scope
