As the
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING/INFECTION PREVENTIONIST(RN) at Harrogate Village, you will be responsible for the overall supervision, provision, quality of nursing care in the Health Center, direction, coordination and implementation of the infection control program and educational programs for all staff at the community, in accordance with applicable Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may directed by the Director of Nursing and/or Administrator.

Essential Functions:- Supervises direct nursing care in the Health Center on all shifts
- Coordinate of nursing services for Health Center residents to ensure that residents' needs are met
- Participates in staffing, scheduling, counseling, orientation, and evaluation of nursing staff.
- Participates in on-call program/committees/meetings as directed
- Participates in counseling to residents and their families.
- Follows CMS guidelines regarding the infection control program including development and tracking
- Advise and consults with other team members concerning precautions to be taken to protect patients and staff from possible contamination or infection
- Investigates infection control risks or events and arranges for treatment and care
- Plans, conducts implement and evaluates organized orientation, in-service and training for new hires and existing staff
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Participate in care team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures.
- As HIIPPA Compliance Officer, responsible for assuring compliance with standards of and regulations and keeps current on changes.
Qualifications and requirements:• Current New Jersey state licensure as a Registered Nurse/ and current CPR certification
• Supervisory Experience is a plus
• 2 years of experience in geriatric/rehabilitation nursing in long term care with knowledge of regulations
• 2 years of training and development experience is a plus
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and team-building skills.
• Commitment to person-centered care, quality outcomes, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
