Job Summary

This leadership role offers an opportunity for an innovative and collaborative human resources professional to serve in a senior HR capacity overseeing organizational development, training, and HR outreach functions. The position plays a key role in shaping workforce strategy, strengthening leadership capability, and advancing employee engagement across the organization.

The Assistant Director of Human Resources provides strategic leadership and operational direction for enterprise-level HR initiatives. Reporting to senior HR leadership, this role balances long-term planning with day-to-day execution, fiscal stewardship, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance organizational effectiveness, workforce capability, and the overall employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead enterprise-wide organizational development and training initiatives
  • Oversee HR outreach, communications, and engagement programs
  • Provide strategic and fiscal oversight of HR programs and budgets
  • Manage, mentor, and develop managers and professional staff
  • Partner with leadership and departments on workforce planning and culture initiatives
  • Support special initiatives that drive innovation and organizational resilience

Minimum Education, Training, and Experience
  • High school diploma
  • Eight (8) years of related experience overseeing organizational development, training, or workforce development programs

Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience
  • Background and experience in organizational development
  • Demonstrated HR-related facilitation experience
  • Experience managing HR outreach initiatives
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution

Special Requirements
  • Successful completion of required background investigations, including criminal history verification and employment eligibility requirements
  • Completion of a Statement of Economic Interest in accordance with applicable regulations
