Qualifications

• Extensive HVAC and mechanical experience required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• 3-5 years of hotel engineering experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a convention service hotel is preferred.
• Experience managing a team of 5 or more is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Engineering Services with preventative maintenance upkeep and logging tasks.
• Support procurement of supplies and manage purchase orders.
• Review and prioritize work orders for engineering tasks.
• Maintain current inventories of power and repair supplies.
• Respond efficiently to guest requests and concerns.
• Coordinate activities with the engineering staff on shifts.
• Assume complete responsibility for the Engineering Department in the Director's absence.
• Understand and implement Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation protocols.
