Description

The Assistant Director of Enterprise Systems Applications, Data & Web Services provides strategic and technical leadership for enterprise applications, data services, integrations, and web platforms that support university operations. The Assistant Director sets governance standards, guides enterprise architecture and technical strategy, and ensures solutions are scalable, secure, and interoperable. Also leads and mentors' technical staff while collaborating with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to advance institutional priorities, modernization efforts, and operational continuity.

Duties
  • Provides leadership and direction for the development, integration, and support of enterprise systems, including applications, data services, and web platforms
  • Establishes and guides architecture principles, development standards, integration approaches, and governance practices to ensure scalable, secure, and sustainable enterprise solutions
  • Collaborates with Enterprise Systems leadership, university stakeholders, and technical teams to align priorities, coordinate resources, and deliver solutions that support institutional and operational needs
  • Facilitates cross-functional initiatives and promotes effective collaboration across applications, integrations, data services, and web technologies
  • Oversees enterprise application and integration architecture to promote scalability, interoperability, maintainability, and operational efficiency
  • Oversees operational support and continuity for assigned enterprise applications, integrations, and web services
  • Evaluates emerging technologies and industry best practices to support modernization and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Leads and mentors assigned staff, fostering professional growth, knowledge sharing, collaboration, and effective teamwork
  • Provides advanced technical leadership and contributes directly to complex technical initiatives, system design decisions, troubleshooting, and high-impact problem resolution as needed
  • Develops and promotes long-term technology strategies and enterprise standards for applications, integrations, data services, and web platforms

Required Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in management information systems, computer science, or a related field

Experience:
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in enterprise systems, applications, integrations, data services, web technologies, or related areas
  • Minimum three (3) years of supervisory or management experience overseeing technical staff or enterprise technology functions

License/Certification:
  • None Required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting higher education enterprise systems and ERP environments
  • Experience working within a collaborative IT organizational structure
  • Experience with enterprise architecture, data warehousing, systems integrations, accessibility compliance standards, and enterprise web governance initiatives
