Position Summary:

Responsible for the day-to-day activities of the athletic ticket office including, but not limited to the building, processing, and reporting of season and single game ticketed athletic events, while ensuring a high level of customer and donor service. This position will work closely with the Associate AD/Ticket Sales & Service, the Deputy AD/CRO, and the Assistant VP/Athletics Development. This position will also work on the integration of donor and season ticket databases and collaborate with marketing staff to generate effective ticketing strategies. In addition, the role will coordinate the distribution of student and player-complimentary digital tickets for football, men's and women's basketball and other ticketed athletic events and selected outside events in Athletics venues.

All duties must be performed in accordance with University, Conference, and NCAA policies and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversight of Ticket Operations and Team Members:
  • Manage and oversee the Ticket Office including building, processing, and reporting of season, group, and single game ticketed athletic events; and management of full-time, part-time, student and volunteer staff.
  • Provide overall leadership to increase and maximize ticket revenue and customer experience.
  • Maintain data in the Ticketing database.
  • Provide direction related to new ticketing revenue-generating initiatives and suggest best practices for utilizing the ticketing database .
  • Run reports including but not limited to, NCAA and internal revenue reports, and daily/weekly fiscal year reports.
  • Coordinate with University Technology Services for technical needs for the Ticket Office.
  • Educate the Ticket Office in the proper use of the database to ensure the integrity of data.
  • Work with marketing and ticket sales team to develop ticket promotions to increase revenue.
  • Manage ticketing system contract, relationship and technology for all ticketing and development services.
  • Coordinate with the Business Office to reconcile Ticket Office financials.
  • Work cooperatively with Internal Audit, as needed.
  • Coordinate with the President's Office for ticketing needs and seating assignments related to home, away, and Tournament games.
  • Coordinate with third party ticket vendors, including managing the digital ticketing process
  • Assist with overseeing all ticket operations and customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

Formal Education:
  • Bachelor's degree is required.


Work Experience:
  • 5+ years of ticket operations experience including time spent running and overseeing a Ticket Operations Office.


Work Skills (e.g., written and verbal communication skills):
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • An ability to provide a high level of customer service
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of accounting principles.


Equipment Knowledge:
  • Proficiency with Paciolan operating and reporting system preferred, or other automated ticketing system, as well as personal computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, database.)


Other:
  • Interest in and knowledge of Villanova and its athletic programs.


Preferred Qualifications:

Work Experience:
  • Experience in professional/college sports, specifically related to ticket operations is preferred.
  • Interest in and knowledge of Villanova Athletics and its programs.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively with staff and campus partners.

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

Salary Posting Information:

This position falls within salaried grade 16 and the range is $73,100-95,000. The final salary will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate's qualifications, department budget availability, market data, and internal equity.
