The Assistant/Associate Provost for Admissions (AP-Admissions) is responsible for overseeing selection criteria and policies for all student admissions at the University, and will maintain regular coordination and communication with Deans, program leaders, enrollment management staff/leadership, and decentralized contributors to the admissions process, ensuring the strategic admission priorities of the university are being achieved. The AP-Admissions will report directly to the Provost, will be a part of the Academic Affairs team, and will be embedded with the enrollment management department.

Salary Range (salary dependent on rank and qualifications): $165,000-$180,000 USD Annually

Essential Duties:

  • The AP-Admissions will serve as a subject matter expert in admissions policies and procedures at Regent University.
  • Oversee the development and coordination of admissions policies that support retention and graduation.
  • Coordinate and meet regularly with key stakeholders in Enrollment Management, Academic Affairs, Colleges and Schools, IT, and others to effectuate admissions policies and protocol. The AP-Admissions will serve as a vital liaison between leaders of academic programs and support staff in Admissions.
  • The AP-Admissions will routinely audit the timely and proper evaluation of applicants, ensuring appropriate procedures are followed in the rendering of admissions decisions.
  • The AP-Admissions will serve as a primary resource of admissions requirements, academic program information, faculty details, and admissions criteria for new programs or changing programs. Manage all necessary admission decision rubrics to maintain a streamlined process.
  • The AP-Admissions will coordinate with relevant staff within Enrollment Management, Admissions Evaluation, Enrollment Support Services, and those within the academic programs on matters of file/applicant review and the application decision processes (phases, responsible parties, communication of decisions).
  • Demonstrate exemplary Christian leadership, including Regent's core values of excellence, innovation, and integrity.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to spearhead a strategic refinement of Regent's enrollment model to increase selectivity of students further and to enhance graduation completion and other quality outcomes.
  • Cultivate strategies which support growth in our on-campus student population.
  • Leverage data analytics to develop and optimize fiscally sound admissions outcomes (measured through robust KPIs) that achieve Regent's strategic priorities for the student body composition.
  • Provide leadership in best in class traditional relational admissions methods while also exploring emergent and alternative admissions models.

Candidates must have:

  • A graduate degree (doctorate preferred) and experience in a pertinent field or role. Rank dependent on experience and qualifications.
  • The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of admissions systems used at Regent (e.g., Banner, Recruit, Advise) to facilitate analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
  • An ability to effectively utilize data analytics to understand and guide admissions strategies for effective student acquisition of the Regent's desired student population.
  • An ability to effectively guide relational admission approaches at all levels (i.e., faculty, specialized recruiters, EM staff, etc.) to maximize selective student acquisition.
