OverviewThe Department of
Electrical and Computer Engineering at Auburn University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant/associate professor in the area of
microelectronics beginning with the Fall 2027 semester. We particularly seek individuals with a strong background in analog / RF electronics, integrated circuit design, 2.5D / 3D packaging or heterogeneous integration. We particularly seek candidates who are eligible to participate in research activities involving controlled unclassified information and ITAR/EAR restrictions and possess or be able to obtain a security clearance.
The individual selected for this position should demonstrate the potential to excel as a teacher in both undergraduate and graduate courses, secure funding to support a research program, mentor graduate students, and publish research results in the appropriate scholarly outlets.
The position is available beginning August 16, 2027, and applications will be evaluated beginning on November 1, 2026. The search will continue until a suitable candidate is selected.
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has 29 full-time faculty members and enrolls approximately 600 undergraduates (freshmen through senior) and 140 graduate students. The department is home to the Alabama Micro/Nano Science and Technology Center, the Wireless Engineering Research and Education Center, and the Auburn University Neuroimaging Center. QualificationsApplicants must have a Ph.D. in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or a closely related field at the time employment begins.
