Full Job Description
In the role of Assistant Area Cross Sector Manager, we'll count on you to take responsibility for development, coordination, monitoring and improvement of technical competencies of a portion of area cross sector staff to meet client needs and market drivers, including:

  • Lead, align and collaborate on business class, marketing, management and company operations
  • Review technical proposals and fee estimates; make recommendations to cross sector, business group and area management
  • Lead project reviews; actively participate in financial reviews
  • Assess staffing and salary requests; make recommendations to cross sector, business group and area management
  • Champion a quality culture within cross sector teams
  • Advocate for professional development of staff and development of best practices, technical policies and procedures, papers and presentations, Professional Associates credentialing, recognition of technical achievement, practice group activities, and automation tools
  • Act as role model of our values and code of conduct, as well as professional/ ethical/business standards expected by specific clients and required by licensing/ credentialing entities
  • Deliver projects in your professional discipline
  • Champion our culture: Client Service, Teamwork, Entrepreneurial Attitude, and "Do the Right Thing" Integrity
  • Perform other duties as needed


Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years of expereince in an A/E industry
  • 4 years of experience with team management and staff supervision
  • 4 years of experience managing the technical and financial aspects of projects in an A/E industry

  • Bachelor's degree in a Planning, Sciences, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in related field
  • If applicable, maintains a professional or Engineering registration and has related technical experience
  • Experienced in development and management of diverse teams
  • Works cooperatively with other business class and cross sector directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on cross sector efforts
  • Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
