Assessment Manager

The Assessment Manager provides leadership for the College's institutional assessmentframework, including academic assessment, co-curricular assessment,institution-wide assessment, program review, and continuous improvement.Reporting to the Director of Data, Assessment, and Analytics, the Manager workscollaboratively with faculty, Student Affairs, administrative departments, andthe Teaching and Learning Unit to integrate assessment into institutionaleffectiveness, strategic planning, accreditation, and student success.

The position supervises the Senior Survey Researcher and ensures that surveyresearch, assessment findings, and program review results provide meaningfulevidence to improve programs, services, operations, and institution-wideinitiatives, including community engagement, strategic initiatives, and othercross-functional priorities.

Responsibilities

Assessment Leadership

  • Lead institution-wide academic, co-curricular, and institutional assessment activities.
  • Coordinate assessment of college-wide initiatives, including community engagement, strategic priorities, student services, and other institutional effectiveness efforts.
  • Lead and continuously improve academic and administrative program review processes.
  • Develop sustainable assessment frameworks, calendars, templates, reporting processes, and documentation.
  • Support faculty and staff in developing learning outcomes, assessment methods, curriculum maps, rubrics, and improvement plans.
  • Promote a culture of evidence and continuous improvement.

Institutional Effectiveness

  • Integrate assessment findings into strategic planning, budgeting, accreditation, and institutional decision-making.
  • Develop assessment dashboards and reports using appropriate reporting tools.
  • Analyze assessment findings and connect them to student success, retention, completion, equity, and institutional performance.
  • Present findings and recommendations to faculty, leadership, governance committees, and external stakeholders.

Leadership and Collaboration
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the Senior Survey Researcher.
  • Coordinate survey research activities with assessment and institutional effectiveness priorities.
  • Provide professional development on assessment, program review, and evidence-based improvement.
  • Maintain documentation supporting Higher Learning Commission accreditation.
  • Serve on institutional committees related to assessment, accreditation, institutional effectiveness, and student success.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in higher education, education, educational leadership, institutional effectiveness, assessment, or related field.

Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in assessment, institutional effectiveness, accreditation, institutional research, or program review within higher education.

Minimum of two years of supervisory or project leadership experience preferred.

Demonstrated experience leading academic, co-curricular, and institution-wide assessment initiatives.

Knowledge of Higher Learning Commission accreditation standards and continuous improvement practices.

Experience working collaboratively with faculty and administrators in a shared governance environment.

Experience with data visualization, reporting, survey platforms, and assessment management systems.

Excellent communication, facilitation, organizational, and project management skills.
