As an ASIC development engineer in the Microchip Data Center Solutions group, you will get hands-on experience developing our next generation of storage and memory controller SOC products. This will involve taking a design from the initial concept to the production form. Throughout you will work beside experienced engineers and be exposed to Microchip's Best-In-Class engineering practices. Working side-by-side with some of the brightest minds and most innovative people in the industry, you won't just fill a position, you will be given an opportunity to work on a team where your contributions matter. As an ASIC Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, verification, emulation, and/or validation of digital integrated circuits at the block level, top level, and/or solution level. Job Responsibilities:Job responsibilities may include any of the following:
- Pre-silicon design and verification
- Emulation and debug of the IP and solution
- Post-silicon integration, bring-up, and validation
- Learning and dynamically applying knowledge of the SoC, protocols and standards
Requirements/Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- 2+ years of relevant industry experience or a Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Strong programming/scripting skills, i.e., C++, Python
- Excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal), and documentation skills
- Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
- Experience with Verilog and/or VHDL is an asset
- Experience with the ASIC design and/or verification flow is an asset
- Experience with PCIe protocols is an asset

The annual base salary range for this position is $76,000-$114,000.*
*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
