We are looking for an experienced and well-rounded Art Director to support campaign ideation and development and be a part of a dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in both digital and print, the ability to approach projects with creativity and passion backed by insights, have big ideas and can convey them through beautiful visuals, and understands how to work in a fast-paced global environment.

Core responsibilities

The Art Director is responsible for concepting and designing campaigns for 3rd party retailers and LEGO-owned retail channels. Working with creative direction, you will bring the ideas to life, solving marketing challenges and design best-in-class brand expressions and experiences across ecommerce, digital marketing, social media channels, email, activations, window displays and in-store point of sale.

Conceptualize new campaign ideas that are shopper-focused and deliver a premium and memorable experience for shoppers and consumers.
  • Taking directions from Creative leads and Strategist on the creative brief, create content across marketing levers and for multi-channel execution.
  • Actively participate in brainstorm sessions with the creative team to develop concept proposals.
  • Support the development of concepts that solve business problems and meet marketing objectives with thoughtful campaign tactics and compelling design.
  • Present concepts and ideas to senior creative staff in a clear and compelling manner, articulating and defending creative direction choices, collaborate and iterate based on feedback from cross-functional partners.
  • Collaborate across the team with Project Managers, Strategist, Copywriter, and the Creative team to meet campaign milestones and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with external vendors including illustrators, 3D artists, motion graphics and video specialists, structural engineers, etc. to ensure highest level of campaign execution.
  • Ensure a high standard of visual execution across all work and within all brand guidelines.
  • Stay on top of industry trends, design technology, and new marketing platforms.

The Commerce team within Our LEGO Agency, in-house creative agency, brings the retail marketing strategy to life for shoppers and consumers. The Art Director plays a key role in concepting, designing, and delivering those campaigns and experiences.

Do you have what it takes?
  • Mid-level professional with design experience, art directing internal and external teams
  • Experience from an external advertising agency, designing for global brands, preferably retail or retailer marketing
  • Experience producing video content for social media channels
  • Portfolio must reflect strong conceptual and design skills; a link to an online portfolio showcasing relevant work
  • Must be an expert level in following applications: Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects), Figma and Microsoft Office.
  • Proven track record of delivering bold, effective campaign concepts across mediums: digital, traditional and experiential
  • Ability to self-direct, multi-task, prioritize work assignments.
  • Strong communications skills and an ability to present work intelligently and concisely in internal reviews and in stakeholder meetings.
  • A deep understanding of the creative development process and ability to consistently deliver excellent design based on a working knowledge of what goes into successful marketing campaigns
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multi-discipline teams.

Compensation
The salary for this position has a range of $75,436.00 - $113,154.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
