Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting additional support and/or notifying appropriate campus personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site-specific procedures; report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and maintenance concerns.
Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while following applicable laws, policies, and Allied Universal procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
