Job Summary As the Area Manager of Transportation (Civil Roadway and Development) at WWC, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing Transportation and related operations in the Southwest Division. Your responsibilities include providing leadership, strategic guidance, and ensuring the achievement of both short-term and long-term goals. Collaborating closely with the Division Manager, your aim is to contribute to the overall growth and success of WWC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Envision, implement, and uphold the company's vision and core values.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for the area, aligning with company goals.
- Establish and uphold area objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within company policy boundaries.
- Foster relationships with current and prospective clients to facilitate construction activities.
- Mentor and develop area employees, ensuring comprehensive training, growth opportunities, and access to leadership development.
- Represent the company in project and strategy meetings.
- Manage financial aspects of contracts to safeguard the company's interests and maintain positive client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
Qualifications:
- Hold a 4-year degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent.
- Possess extensive experience (7 or more years) and knowledge in large earthwork construction, finance, and management.
- Demonstrate experience in leading multi-million-dollar contracts, overseeing operations, project administration, and client relations for large construction projects.
- Apply innovative management techniques to maximize employee performance.
- Possess a thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards.
- Exhibit superior communication and interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, and influence.
- Show significant business acumen.
- Demonstrate high motivation, excellence, and a sense of ownership
- Must be willing and able to travel.
