Job Description SummaryDauch is looking for an Area Manager to join our Alamance Manufacturing Facility in Mebane, NC. This is a fully onsite position.
This individual will manage the day-to-day operations of a specified area at our Alamance Manufacturing Facility. They will define, monitor, and will be held responsible for overall operations performance. They will implement production, cost, and quality control mechanisms. They will also oversee operations, ensuring that schedules and performance requirements are met and system resources are used effectively. This person will manage staffing, development, and performance management programs for operations staff; manages, motivates, and develops management team. They will also manage relationships with business, sales, and engineering; defines, delivers, and manages required service levels. They will coordinate strategies, communications, and joint initiatives for the Alamance Manufacturing Facility.
Job Description:- Manages associate outcomes by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and correcting behaviors as needed; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures. Sets priorities for outcomes and resources.
- Determines and monitors standards, budgets and departmental goals/operational objectives, based on company policies and available resources.
- Implements measures to motivate employees and to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Achieves product and operations operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, customer-service, safety, security, and health standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; identifying, developing, and implementing system improvements.
- Contributes to product and operations management and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
- Manages Plant priorities within their area of responsibility by reviewing customer orders and requirements; analyzing equipment, materials, and associate availability.
- Resolves production scheduling problems by analyzing reports; reviewing equipment, materials, and associate availability; conferring with production control; developing solutions.
- Prepares production information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Contributes to plant and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably within in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing and leading a team.
