Full Job Description
DLR Group's Phoenix, AZ office has an opening for an ArchitecturalProject Manager. We operate within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home.

Position Summary

As a Project Manager at DLR Group, you will oversee all aspects of one or more projects, including managing project teams, coordinating with external consultants, and ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and fees. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality and design excellence throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, you will be accountable for the financial success of the project, ensuring it remains on track and within budget.

What you will do:

  • Support business development by participating in RFQs, RFPs, and client interviews
  • Assist in negotiating scopes of services, fees, and preparing agreements with clients and consultants
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and staffing, adjusting as needed
  • Lead and coordinate project teams, consultants, and vendors to meet project goals for scope, quality, budget, and schedule
  • Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and ensure submittals meet quality standards
  • Communicate project status updates, identify necessary plan adjustments, and propose solutions for client-directed changes
  • Provide leadership and performance feedback to the project team while managing recruitment and selection of personnel
  • Establish regular communication with clients, keeping them informed on project progress and securing timely approvals
  • Ensure design disciplines are engaged and integrated into each project phase, maintaining alignment with client expectations and project goals
  • Ensure project compliance with DLR Group's quality standards and procedures throughout all phases


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Interior Design
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
  • Professional licensure preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency in Vantagepoint, Planifi, InDePro, and Microsoft Suite (including Project)
  • High proficiency in typical A/E/I/P software
  • Strong working knowledge of design techniques, tools, and sustainable design principles for producing technical plans, drawings, and models
  • Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills, with the ability to multitask while maintaining quality standards
  • Familiarity with local building and zoning codes
