Full Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Architect. You will support the Nairobi CAA Project - construction of a new CAA building in addition to the existing chancery, providing architectural oversight, construction administration, and quality assurance across all phases of the project. You will ensure that architectural elements are executed in accordance with approved design documents, U.S. codes, and contract requirements while maintaining design integrity and functionality.
This position is contingent upon the award of the contract, and the contract duration is three years.
Key Responsibilities:
Review architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals for compliance
Conduct site inspections to verify construction quality and adherence to design intent
Monitor contractor quality control processes and enforce corrective actions
Evaluate RFIs, substitutions, and design changes for technical accuracy
Coordinate with engineering disciplines to resolve design and field conflicts
Track construction progress and identify risks impacting schedule or quality
Maintain logs and prepare reports for RFIs, submittals, and inspections
Identify deficiencies and ensure timely resolution
Support verification of completed work for payment applications
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture
