Summary of Job Duties:

The Advanced Practice Partner (APP) will assist the physician with clinic, organize visits, and perform clinic procedures; assist in the operating room; answer pages; and round on post-operative patients on a daily and PRN basis. The APP will augment a physician's ability to provide medical services to patients; collect and document data, conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations, and provide direct patient care services.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in nursing (Acute Care Certification) /PA studies

  • Licensed Registered Nurse; APRN/PA license

  • Prescriptive authority and a DEA license must be obtained after hire.

  • BLS

  • 2 years of experience preferred

Job Requirements:

  • Maintains required audits for credentialing. Engages in appropriate continuing education programs, maintain mandatory competencies, medical center computer based learning modules, and health monitoring services.

  • Participates in institutional initiatives and encourages the participation of others.  Collaborates in policy and program development, implementation, and evaluation using best practices in delivering quality service.

  • Coordinates the multidisciplinary care of patients, facilitating all necessary consults, assuring that care is timely and appropriate.  Actively engage in service line meetings and take an approach to health care that shapes policies, programs, facility design, and day-to-day interactions

  • Works autonomously, as well as, in collaboration with a variety of disciplines to diagnose and manage health care problems; will serve as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate. Communicates and shares complete and unbiased information, assuring their colleagues receive timely, complete, and accurate information in order make informed decisions.

  • Perform other duties as needed.
