Overview
Performs theoretical and experimental scientific and technological investigation directed toward the acquisition of new knowledge.
May conduct analytical, experimental, investigative and other fact-finding work to support principal scientific research.
Prepares comprehensive documented observations, analyses and interpretations of results, including technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses.
Identifies, assesses and develops new scientific concepts/technologies in basic or applied research with significant business impact.
Documents research leading to patent disclosure or technical and/or scientific advancement.
