Full Job Description

Job Purpose:  

The Senior Application Developer’s role is to use advanced experience and knowledge of different programming languages to create and maintain programs and applications. The role is expected to learn defined programming languages and methodologies while also continuously expanding skillsets and certifications. The role includes the analysis of requirements and functional specifications to design, build, test, implement and support corrections and or enhancements. The role is expected to develop integrated solutions aligned with TD SYNNEX’s business units utilizing robust computing architectures in multi-tier environments.  Individuals in this role are expected to have a broad understanding of landscapes and architectures in order to both develop complex solutions and provide recommendations to Senior Leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes business requirements across multiple business areas including the evaluation of application software packages.

  • Coordinates and schedules change control and production verification processes. Prepares required documentation.

  • Ensures that all programming / configuration adheres to corporate standards, and all integration issues are identified and addressed, as well as version control of deliverables.

  • Ensures business applications are developed in a way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies and practices.

  • Prepares test plans, certifies string testing results, and performs regression and integration testing across applications.

  • Develops business relationships and integrates activities with other IT departments to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts.

  • Creates impact and details design documents, translating requirements into an appropriate system design and version control of deliverables.

  • Quickly recognizes issues and performs steps needed resolve as quickly and effectively as possible

  • Collaborate with other team members on solutions and recommendations

  • Participates in incident retrospectives to document resolutions and document future mitigations 

  • Formulates and defines application scope and objectives; devises and modifies procedures to solve business problems

  • Monitors and reports on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • 5 to 8 Years of relevant work experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree with Computer Science / MIS field of study required.

  • Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.

  • Possesses basic clerical and data entry skills.

  • Possesses strong data entry skills.

  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.

  • Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
