Description:University Advancement is seeking (1) Application Developer Lead - Technical to join the already incredible team taking Georgia State University to the next level of excellence!
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Leadership:- Main responsibility is to assume the lead role on Ascend application for constituent management for Advancement. The product is used to prepare and deliver a variety of interactive and printed reports, necessary to support the development of custom reporting. Assist with the development of a data warehouse strategy and leveraging MS Power BI.
Application Support:- Responds to customer report requests and data quality inquires. Includes administration, application troubleshooting, design, programming, and testing.
Business Systems Analysis:- Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding. Includes analysis and documentation of business processes and functional requirements.
- Considers the business implications of the application of technology to the business environment.
- Translates functional requirements and prepares detailed report specifications from which reports are written.
Project Management:- May also be responsible for serving in the role of project manager for smaller-sized programming projects in developing a project plan/schedule, coordinating the activities of the project team, and reporting project status to both management and customers.
Communication:- Consults and collaborates with personnel across the Advancement Department and other technical departments to coordinate activities related to projects assigned
- Prepares and provides activity and status reports regarding the activities assigned.
Software testing:- Conducting investigations and experiments to verify the quality of software to provide an objective, independent view of the software

Qualifications:Minimum Hiring Standards:- Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
