Job Summary:
The Application Architect will lead the architectural design and evolution of an enterprise casino management platform. The role involves defining modular, scalable, secure, and resilient solutions, guiding technology and integration decisions, and establishing architectural standards. The architect will collaborate with product, engineering, security, and business stakeholders to ensure the platform meets operational objectives, regulatory requirements, and long-term growth needs. The role also requires applying AI-augmented architecture practices responsibly to accelerate analysis, documentation, design exploration, and engineering delivery while maintaining compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the architectural design of the casino management system, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
• Design modular and scalable architectures incorporating microservices, API gateways, identity and access management, and integrated security measures.
• Evaluate and select technologies, frameworks, and tools aligned with project goals and operational requirements.
• Develop integration strategies for system components, including third-party services, payment gateways, and regulatory compliance systems.
• Collaborate with security teams to define and implement security standards, including data encryption and access controls, ensuring compliance with gaming regulations.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams, promoting adherence to architectural standards and fostering innovation.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of architectural designs, decisions, and processes to support ongoing development and maintenance.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure the architectural vision is clearly understood and effectively implemented.
• Apply AI-augmented architecture practices to accelerate analysis, documentation, design exploration, and engineering delivery within compliance constraints.
• Perform assigned duties safely and maintain consistent and regular attendance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• 4-5 years of experience in software architecture, preferably within the gaming or casino industry.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud infrastructure and related services across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns, including service discovery and load balancing.
• Knowledge of API gateways and management solutions such as Apigee or AWS API Gateway for secure service communication.
• Familiarity with IAM solutions such as Okta or Auth0 and protocols such as OAuth 2.0 for identity management.
• Understanding of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI, and automation frameworks.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including data security practices.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK Stack and Prometheus for system health management.
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages such as Java and Python, along with scripting for automation.
• Proficiency in React, AngularJS, Vue.js, Node.js, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and Bash.
• Basic knowledge of application security frameworks and tools such as OWASP to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions and influence architectural decisions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with management, team members, and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and experience levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience integrating AI tools into architecture design processes or standardizing AI-assisted workflows across architecture teams.
• Experience in gaming, casino operations, financial services, or other regulated and high-compliance environments.
• Familiarity with multi-tenant product design and localization/internationalization.
• Experience with design-token pipelines and cross-product brand kits.
• Familiarity with Claude and comparable AI-powered UI-generation and design/prototyping tools.
