Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care, Department of MedicineSpecialist (Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner)Position Description: The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine, Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio has full time openings for an APRN or Physician Assistant faculty. We are seeking qualified individuals with a strong commitment to patient centered care and innovative team-based care to facilitate direct bedside clinical care as part of our medical intensive care unit team. The selected candidates will work 12-hour shifts, split between day and night, at a full-time capacity in assigned settings. This position also includes clinical teaching opportunities.

Position Qualifications: Candidate will preferably have at least one to three years of prior experience in acute and chronic disease direct patient care management. New graduates are welcome to apply as well. Applicants should be prepared to manage a wide range of complex problems presenting in the hospital or other inpatient setting. Texas licensure and certification in Acute Care is required. Board certification as a Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner is required.
