  • Participate in scheduled block shifts of 14 per month, with swing shift support and overnight coverage options.

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Practice at FirstHealth’s flagship campus – 402 bed acute care regional referral center.
  • Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in med-neuro, coronary care, and CVT units.
  • Enjoy a high degree of autonomy and professional satisfaction.
  • Average census of 28 patients is split between 2 Physicians and 2 APPs per shift. Swing shift support. Nights covered by experienced APP.
  • Block schedule, 14 shifts per month.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Advanced Practice experience in a critical care setting is required.
  • PA must be a graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification. NP must be a graduate of a Nurse Practitioner Education program and have national certification.
  • Must be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision making.
  • Clean background, NC license, NC DEA, and AHA ACLS certification required.
