APN - Crisis Receiving and Stabilization Center

Location: 610 Valley Health Plaza, Paramus NJ
Full-time 40 hours & On-site: 4 (10 hour) days, some evenings, and weekends
Hourly Rate: $72.12 - $90.62

4 Available Shifts:

  • Shift 1: Tuesday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Wednesday 8:00 am - 8:00 pm, Friday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am - 8:00 pm.
  • Shift 2: Wednesday 12:00 am - 8:00 am, Wednesday 12:00 am - 8:00 am, Thursday into Friday 8:00 pm - 8:00 am, Friday into Saturday 8:00 pm - 8:00 am.
  • Shift 3: Tuesday 2:00 pm - 12:00 am, Wednesday 2:00 pm - 12:00 am, Friday 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm, Sunday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.
  • Shift 4: Saturday into Sunday 8:00 pm - 8:00 am, Monday 12:00 am - 8:00 am, Tuesday 12:00 am - 8:00 am, Thursday 11:00 am - 11:00 pm.

Job Summary:
You will serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team that will provide services in the CRSC to adults 18+ experiencing a behavioral health crisis 24/7, 365 days a year, which include, but are not limited to, delivering on-site holistic, comprehensive, direct nursing care tailored to the specific needs and developmental stages of each individual. Additionally, you will conduct comprehensive initial psychiatric evaluation resulting in making a diagnosis utilizing DSM-V criteria, develop comprehensive multidisciplinary and multimodality treatment plans that include prescribing medication according to FDA guidelines, provide education to consumers and their families, and collaborate closely with all team members to documents and share relevant care information during shift reports to maintain continuity of care.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of individuals and ensure that the full range of behavioral considerations are accounted for when determining diagnosis and treatment.
  • Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests as indicated by individual's presentation and medications prescribed.
  • Prescribe medications as indicated by signs, symptoms, and diagnosis, and provide medication monitoring.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices in psychotherapeutic and clinical interventions.
  • Document interventions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Review treatment plans, monitor changes in health status, provide health coaching and support, administer long-acting injectable antipsychotics, and respond clinically to abnormal physical findings.
  • Work with CRSC team to support population health management.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Offer education to clients and their families regarding medications, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
  • Practice both in-person and via telemedicine.
  • Participate in weekly supervision and team meetings.


What We Need to See:

  • MSN degree or higher.
  • Current active, unencumbered New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse license.
  • Current National Certification as Nurse Practitioner. Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification.
  • Must be a registered practitioner with the US DEA.
