Job Summary
The APEX Developer will participate in the development, maintenance, enhancement, and support of business applications and Oracle eBusiness Systems. The role requires extensive experience with Oracle eBusiness Systems Financials and Projects modules, Oracle APEX, OAF, SQL, PL/SQL, XML, Oracle Forms and Reports, BI Publisher, Linux/Unix, and Oracle databases. The developer will work with business users and a large Oracle support team to translate business, process, and system requirements into technical solutions while supporting application changes, service delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide application support for Oracle eBusiness Systems modules and projects, including Finance and Oracle Projects.
• Translate business, process, and system requirements into functional and technical designs through architecture, development, testing, and implementation.
• Develop and support Oracle-related customizations and extensions.
• Analyze system-wide dependencies and interactions across Oracle application modules.
• Collaborate with customers and business users to understand system specifications, requirements, issues, and challenges.
• Prepare functional and technical specification documents based on business requirements.
• Develop proof-of-concept solutions and obtain business user approval before full implementation.
• Implement approved application solutions and enhancements.
• Participate in change management activities and overall service delivery.
• Utilize project management principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with business users and management to deliver solutions that meet business requirements.
• Track deliverables and provide reporting to management as needed.
• Provide technical support within a multi-developer Oracle support environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Oracle application and technical issues.
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of related industry or technical experience.
• 10+ years of technical support experience with Oracle eBusiness Systems modules, including Financials/Projects and Release 12.
• 10+ years of experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and XML.
• 10+ years of experience with Oracle tools including Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and BI Publisher.
• 10+ years of experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• 10+ years of experience with backend table structures for Oracle eBusiness System modules.
• Strong Oracle database experience.
• 4+ years of advanced debugging experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF).
• 4+ years of experience with OAF Personalization.
• 4+ years of Oracle APEX development experience.
• 4+ years of OAF development experience.
• Experience working effectively in a multi-developer team environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with business users and technical teams.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound technical judgment.
