Description
Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) with proven Systems Security Engineering (SSE) and Cybersecurity experience to support the design, authorization, and continuous monitoring of mission-critical systems for our Department of the Air Force (DAF) / DoD customer.
This is a fully remote role, and the duties and responsibilities are below, but not limited to:
- Security Architecture & Engineering - Employ best practices when implementing security controls across software and system lifecycles, incorporating systems security engineering principles, secure design, secure architecture, and secure coding techniques per NIST SP 800-160v1 and AFI 17-101.
- Requirements Capture & Control Tracing - Capture and refine information security requirements, ensuring technical requirements are seamlessly integrated into system baselines, DevSecOps pipelines, and System Requirements Documents
- Stakeholder & RMF Coordination - Coordinate all security-engineering activities closely with the Program Manager (PM), Information System Owner (ISO), Information System Security Manager (ISSM), Information System Security Officer (ISSO).
- Continuous Monitoring & Zero Trust - Execute gap analyses and technical evaluations supporting the Authorizing Official's (AO) approved Information System Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) strategy, integrating risk analyses and advancing Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) maturity.
- Engineering Incident Remediation - Assist the ISSM/ISSO and incident response elements with technical root-cause evaluations and formulate engineering corrective action plans/mitigations for identified vulnerabilities and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) items
Requirements
Minimum Candidate Requirements Candidate must be a US Citizen.Candidate must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Candidate must have DoD Secret Clearance or higher.Candidate must have DoD 8140 or 8570 equivalent IAT Level III certification(s)- Candidate must be able to support ISSM and ISSO in answering RMF controls and providing artifacts for ATO submission.
- Candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidate must possess 2+ years as an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) or Information System Security Officer (ISSO) (or equivalent role); OR 10+ years of cybersecurity industry expertise, including a minimum of 3 years implementing or creating security policies or controls within DoD systems
- Candidate must have 1+ year(s) of professional working experience with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, etc).
- Candidate must have experience with RMF, eMASS, ACAS and Air Force A&A process.
- Candidate must have experience developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure that systems support the organization's business requirements and meet the needs of mission systems
Desired/Preferred Skills (not required):- Professional working experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Professional working experience integrating security tools and resources within a cloud service provider based on client build requirements.
- Experience with DevSecOps.
- Experience securing Azure Kubernetes Services
- Experience with UiPath Automation Suite and Studio products
Salary Description
$120,000 - $180,000
