Full Job Description
Job Description:

Merkle is seeking an Analytics Consultant to work hands-on in Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, combining in-depth knowledge of quantitative marketing analytics with a strong grasp of customer data to answer real business questions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using software and manual manipulation
techniques. Interpret and present results to staff and stakeholders using graphs, charts, or
    visualization mapping.
  • Extract and shape data from internal and external sources on a routine and ad hoc
basis to develop and deliver usable reports and presentations.
  • Understand how to make data visually appealing and simple to both navigate and comprehend for end-users
  • Aggregate data from various sources to construct streamlined data pipelines and integrate data from multiple systems
  • Build and maintain Customer Journey Analytics data views, segments, calculated metrics, and Workspace projects that let clients analyze behavior across channels
  • Identify key metrics and build exec-facing dashboards to track progress of the business and its highest priority initiatives
  • Identify key business levers, establish cause and effect, perform analyses, and communicate key findings to various stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision-making
  • Own the quality of your deliverables end to end: validate the data, sanity-check the numbers, and QA the output before it reaches clients
  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging analytics technology
  • Proactively identify opportunities to introduce and improve Merkle's analytical tools, techniques, and processes
  • Package selected interim and final deliverables for later re-use by other Merkle teams, including rationale for why options/tactics were chosen (i.e., provides metadata for the documents)

Key Skills and Experience
  • Able to move past observations to data-backed insights and recommendations. Also able to reach a defensible answer independently, without relying on AI to do the analytical thinking
  • Be able to contribute to innovation, process improvement, and standardization
  • Deliver high-quality analytical solutions on time
  • Maintain a project plan; manage day-to-day tasks; and meet project deadlines
  • Work effectively across teams to ensure client satisfaction
  • Presentation skills, whether in front of small groups or large audiences, on camera and/or occasionally in person
  • Comfortable using AI tools and adapting to new tech for the job role as it hits the market
  • Familiar with how to debug a webpage to identify data being passed into web analytics tools

Required Qualifications
  • Must be a US citizen and be prepared to pass a US Government background check, including physical fingerprinting at a US Passport office
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) or equivalent experience in statistics, analytics, economics, or a related quantitative field
  • Hands-on experience with BI and digital analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI)
  • 2+years of experience in quantitative analysis, ideally in a marketing or agency context
  • Adobe Certified Professional - Adobe Customer Journey Analytics Business Practitioner (exam AD0-E608) or higher, and/or 1+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience with Adobe CJA
  • Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills: able to build a clean analysis and turn it into a client-ready deck

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years using Adobe Analytics to build Workspace projects, segments, and calculated metrics, and to surface insights from them
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Platform data collection or schema design
  • Agency or consulting experience working across multiple concurrent clients

Ideal Candidate:
  • You have a curious nature and are willing to provide tough recommendations to clients, tactfully, when necessary
  • Your ability to discover hidden insights to unstructured business problems makes you an integral part of our growing analytics team
  • You can independently execute analytical work end to end by producing outputs that earn rave reviews and drive ROI for our clients
  • You have a keen eye for detail and use it to produce consistent, high-quality work that will build trust with clients
