Position Summary

Ares is seeking an Acquisitions Analyst with a strong interest in real estate investing to support the firm's Self Storage Real Estate Group. This role will work closely with the acquisitions team and senior leadership to help identify, evaluate, and execute potential self storage acquisitions and developments, including supporting underwriting, due diligence, and transaction execution.

Essential Duties
  • Assist with financial underwriting models for self storage acquisitions and development deals
  • Support the acquisitions process by managing the pipeline and gathering and reviewing property level diligence materials, including financial and operating reports, unit mix, rent rolls, and leases
  • Conduct market research on self storage fundamentals, including market comps, supply analysis and market share review
  • Help to prepare investment summaries and presentation materials for review by Senior Management and the Investment Committee
  • Provide general transaction and project support, including coordinating third-party reports, organizing diligence materials, and assisting the broader deal team as needed
  • Must be willing to travel as needed
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting or other related Business majors with relevant or related fields
  • 0-2 years relevant experience, preferably in either real estate acquisitions, commercial real estate brokerage, or asset management
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of financial reports and accounting
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to convey complex ideas to acquisitions team
  • Self-Starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.

$100,000.00 - $120,000.00
