BCS Allegient is currently hiring a Financial Analyst to support our team at the Office of Naval Research in Arlington, VA.
Location: Onsite in Arlington, VA.
Salary range: $90K - $100K depending on experience.
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Assist senior Office of Naval Research (ONR) government personnel with financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, execution, and reporting of commitments, obligations, and expenditures.
Monitor program funding and financial execution against established benchmarks; identify variances, risks, and emerging requirements and provide timely, accurate status updates.
Prepare and maintain financial analyses, forecasts, reports, spreadsheets, briefings, and other program documentation using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office 365 applications.
Use applicable government and ONR budget systems, including Navy ERP when required, to research, track, reconcile, and report financial data.
Support the development and execution of complex programmatic, business, financial, and acquisition-related tasks for research and development efforts.
Coordinate with ONR program managers, Department of Defense services and agencies, industry, academia, and government S&T contractor and grantee personnel to address program needs and support mission objectives.
Organize and coordinate meetings, prepare supporting materials, document decisions and action items, and assist with follow-up activities.
Develop clear, accurate written and verbal communications, including program and project documentation, briefings, correspondence, and outreach materials.
Manage assignments independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment while applying professionalism, sound judgment, creativity, and foresight to anticipate and resolve issues.

Job Requirements
Current SECRET clearance
A high school diploma with at least fifteen (15) years of experience providing administrative, business, and financial support OR a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and ten (10) years of experience providing administrative, business, and financial support;
Experience working with budget systems - experience with ONR budget systems is preferred;
Experience developing and executing complex programmatic tasks;
Demonstrated ability to interface with Government and S&T contractor/grantee personnel in order to meet program manager's needs;
Experience with government planning, forecasting, program budgeting, funding, execution monitoring and reporting against commitment, obligation, and expenditure benchmarks; and
Experience with and knowledge of acquisition strategies related to the procurement of research and development
Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, as required for developing program and project documentation, providing program officer support, coordinating with other DOD services and agencies, industry and academia and providing outreach efforts
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Power Point, SharePoint Online, Teams), with expert proficiency with Excel preferred
