The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

NP or PA

FT position available (40 hrs). Five days/week (M-F), daytime hours.

Exciting opportunity for FNP/PA in an ambulatory setting within the rapidly growing Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology division. The role will focus on the longitudinal care of established adult patients with rheumatologic conditions within a physician-led, team-based clinical practice.

Responsibilities include evaluation and management of established patients, age 18+, with acute and chronic rheumatologic conditions; providing onsite coverage for subcutaneous immunotherapy clinics and infusion services; ordering and interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic studies; medication management and monitoring; patient education; communication of test results and treatment recommendations; and coordination of care with supervising physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates with prior leadership experience or a strong interest in leadership development may be considered for a Division Lead APP role as part of this position.

Primary practice location will be Rochester, NY and/or Canandaigua, NY. Occasional travel to regional sites (Geneseo) may be asked if provider coverage is needed.

Opportunities for participation in department/division-based initiatives, quality improvement activities, education of trainees and new team members, and CME activities are available. APP mentoring and support is available to all new hires, including structured rheumatology orientation and training.

Must demonstrate excellent communication, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills and be able to work both independently and in a physician-led team-based setting. Prior rheumatology experience is preferred but not required; motivated new NP/PA graduates will be considered. Requires certification in NYS as FNP or PA as well as national certification. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications:

Nurse Practitioner

Require a Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.

Physician Assistant

Required completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)

NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.
