Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate C# applications in a virtual environment as part of a small team
  • Design, implement, and sustain simulation algorithms for orbital and suborbital trajectories
  • Code equations of motion for various missile guidance phases
  • Model emerging threats within the missile warning community
  • Gather requirements from customers and provide creative solutions, including documentation and user training
  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug logical and mathematical application software
  • Participate in the full software life cycle on Microsoft Windows-based systems
  • Perform agile software development in both unclassified and classified environments with best practices.

Full Job Description
This position will focus on maintenance and development of software dealing with high fidelity physics modeling for Missile Warning training. Successful candidates shouldbe detail-oriented and have excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Advanced consideration will be provided to candidates with a Space background and knowledge of the Missile Warning and Missile Defense communities.

What you will be doing:

  • Working as part of a small team on project development and integration of C# applications in a virtual environment.
  • Designing, implementing, and sustaining simulation algorithms predicting orbital and suborbital trajectories.
  • Deriving and coding equations of motion for boost, mid-course, and terminal guidance.
  • Predicting and modeling emerging threats as events occur in the missile warning community.
  • Interacting with customers to gather requirements and offer creative solutions, writing documentation, presenting project designs, performing user training, and attending requirements meetings.
  • Designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging application software that contains logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Analyzing user requirements.
  • Participating in the full software life cycle: designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining applications on Microsoft Windows-based systems.
  • Performing agile software development in both unclassified and classified environments while utilizing software engineering best practices including unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation.
  • Other tasks as directed.
