Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Regional
team, is constantly engineering, developing and integrating new capabilities for the U.S. Missile
Defense System. protecting both the United States and its allies. This large, fast paced team, is composed of many small agile teams working together dynamic environment with a common mission to develop and deploy leading-edge missile defense technologies.
The Work
The C2BMC-Regional Application Agile Release Train is seeking a Software Engineer that will thrive in a fast paced team environment in the design, development, and testing of the C2BMC applications. Under minimal direction, provides specialized expertise within multiple systems, software disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, applications implications, and customer areas. Common responsibilities of a software engineer on the RA ART team include:
• Design and develop discrimination/fusion algorithms within the C2BMC Track Server application
• Analyze, test, and verify existing algorithm design and performance
• Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines
• Perform in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution
• Works from system specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications
• Assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of algorithms and software
• Interface with other system support groups
• Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews
• Develop technical documentation (whitepaper/ADD) and present design to external stakeholders
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.
Basic Qualifications• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in computer /electrical engineering, physics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 7+ years of professional experience.
• Must currently hold an ACTIVE DoD Final Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position.
• Demonstrated understanding of sensor discrimination/classification of objects.
• Demonstrated experience in design, development, testing, and documentation of complex mathematical algorithms.
• Demonstrated experience in data analysis of complex algorithms and software, including utilizing metrics and visualizations to ensure product performance.
• Experience with strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review system behavior issues, identify root cause and recommend a solution.
• The successful candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently, and be able to work in a highly dynamic environment
• Candidate will need to be able to work with multiple disciplinary teams including Systems Engineering, Integration and Test, Deployment and Warfighter Support to help ensure mission success.
• Candidate must be comfortable working within agile team and presenting work to external stakeholders

Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00
The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. - Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
