Full Job Description

We’re hiring an AI Workflow Engineer to help drive this work. In this role, you’ll be embedded directly with our Process Improvement team supporting our Treasury and Internal Audit divisions to help them imagine what’s possible beyond today’s tooling. You'll partner directly with business leaders from concept through implementation, identifying opportunities, advising on AI adoption, developing solutions, and supporting training, governance, and long-term ownership.

To do that, you’ll need:

  • Experience with Python

  • Understanding of APIs, orchestration tools, and integration patterns

  • Exposure to generative AI, LLM frameworks and/or AI-driven automation in a corporate setting

Our ideal candidates will also bring experience in healthcare (other payers, hospital systems, health tech companies) and/or experience working with finance teams.

  • While this is a fully remote role, a final onsite interview at our Chattanooga, TN, headquarters will be required.

Job Responsibilities

Process Discovery & Business Partnership

  • Partner with security, compliance, and legal teams to ensure workflows adhere to healthcare regulations and internal data governance standards.
  • Support documentation of process gaps, opportunities, and functional requirements.

AI Workflow Design & Engineering

  • Integrate AI components with internal systems, APIs, and cloud platforms.

Testing, Monitoring & Performance

  • Build and configure AI‑enabled workflows using established design patterns, templates, and frameworks.
  • Assist with integrating internal systems, APIs, and third‑party platforms into end‑to‑end workflows.

Adoption, Training & Change Support

  • Assist in stakeholder demos and participate in training sessions to support workflow adoption.
  • Help maintain workflow standards to ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability.

Operations, Monitoring & Troubleshooting

·      Troubleshoot workflow issues, identify root causes, and propose improvements.

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) or related field or equivalent work experience required. Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in software engineering, automation, AI/ML tools, or workflow solutions and cross-functional delivery.
  • Experience with Python and familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Understanding of APIs, orchestration tools, and integration patterns.
  • Exposure to Generative AI, LLM frameworks, or AI‑driven automation.

Skills/Certifications

  • Proficiency in Python and common AI/ML or automation libraries.
  • Familiarity with LLM and GenAI frameworks
  • Basic understanding of containerization and deployment tools
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document technical work.
  • Ability to translate high‑level goals into workflow requirements and implementation steps.
