DescriptionPosition OverviewCyber B.A.T. is seeking a
AI/MLSoftware Engineer to support mission-critical programs by developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems that enable our government customers' most important missions. This role involves designing and implementing software solutions for processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, real-time systems, business management information systems, and applications that process extremely large datasets.
What You'll Do- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based on documented requirements
- Design and implement software solutions for processing-intensive analytics, real-time systems, and large-scale data processing applications
- Develop and integrate novel algorithms and software capabilities supporting mission objectives
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of an agile software development team
- Review, test, and validate software components to ensure compliance with design requirements and quality standards
- Document software testing activities and communicate results to project stakeholders
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve software defects and problem reports
- Participate in software design activities, including hardware/software trade-off analyses
- Evaluate opportunities for software reuse and integration of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) solutions
- Perform requirements analysis and translate system-level requirements into software component designs
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle using appropriate software engineering methodologies
- Collaborate with engineers, mission partners, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Active TS/SCI Clearance with a current Maryland Polygraph
- Minimum of 14 years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Four (4) additional years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree
- Extensive experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications in enterprise or mission environments
- Experience supporting software development activities across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Strong experience with software engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience developing and integrating software components within complex, distributed systems environments
- Experience performing software troubleshooting, debugging, and problem resolution
- Experience supporting software integration, testing, and validation activities in enterprise-level environments
- Knowledge of software architecture, system interfaces, and application interdependencies
- Experience working with Agile and/or structured software development processes
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to operate effectively in high-tempo, mission-critical operational environments
