Job Summary
NCR VOYIX Corporation is seeking a skilled Data Scientist (II) to join our innovative team. This role involves applying advanced analytical techniques, machine learning, and statistical modeling to extract actionable insights from complex datasets, driving data-informed decision-making and contributing to the development of cutting-edge solutions for our customers.
Job Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve business problems and improve product performance.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis, identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and present findings clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility for analytical purposes.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other cross-functional teams to define data requirements, translate business needs into analytical solutions, and integrate models into production systems.
• Evaluate and select appropriate analytical tools and techniques, staying current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data science.
• Perform A/B testing and other experimental designs to validate hypotheses and measure the impact of implemented solutions.
• Create compelling visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively and support ongoing monitoring of key metrics.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
Job Qualifications
• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 2-4 years of professional experience in a Data Scientist role, with a proven track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
• Expertise in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
• Solid understanding of various machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, time series analysis) and their practical applications.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or similar distributed computing frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, agile environment.
