SummaryKarsun Solutions is actively looking to support a modernization of digital services and accelerate delivery of healthcare and benefits programs for Veterans at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Candidates will support a program focused on expanding the Digital Transformation Center's ability to deliver enterprise applications using modern development frameworks, low code and no code platforms, and cloud based SaaS and PaaS environments. The objective is to deliver digital capabilities that support both Veteran healthcare services and benefits programs.
The program supports multiple concurrent low code/no code products serving a wide-range of users, while maintaining reliability, security, and delivery speed across a complex enterprise platform environment.
What You'll Be Doing:- Design, implement, and maintain AI capabilities, including AI-assisted development, automation, and decision-support solutions, aligned with business objectives and operational baselines.
- Integrate AI technologies across the DTC enterprise platforms (Salesforce/MuleSoft, Microsoft Power Platform/Dynamics, Pega, Box, Appian), including platform-native AI features and API-based integrations.
- Apply AI-enabled code generation, automated testing, configuration recommendations, and code quality analysis within agile delivery teams, with human oversight and accountability for every deliverable.
- Lead enterprise AI integrations, validate performance, and provide technical guidance while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Educate teams on best practices, responsible use, and secure implementation of AI, including protection of PII and PHI under HIPAA and VA privacy requirements.
- Support security and ATO documentation for AI components so they clear DTC architecture and security approval gates.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Systems, Operations Research, or a related field, plus a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. 10 years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and maintaining AI capabilities in enterprise environments, including AI-assisted development, automation, or decision-support solutions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust background investigation.
- Available on contract award and willing to sign a letter of commitment.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience integrating large language models or generative AI services in a commercial cloud environment, such as AWS or Azure, for production use.
- Experience with AI features on Salesforce, Microsoft Power Platform, Pega, or Appian.
- Experience implementing AI in federal, healthcare, or other regulated environments, including FedRAMP or ATO processes.
- Proficiency in Python and modern MLOps or DevOps tooling, including GitHub.
Salary RangeThe proposed salary range for this role is $140,000 to $170,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Karsun considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
