Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on AI Engineer with a strong data engineering background to build agentic AI solutions in a greenfield AWS environment. The role will collaborate with operational teams, including Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, CRM, and Merchandising, to understand business workflows, identify high-value AI opportunities, and develop production-ready AI agents. This is an individual contributor role combining data engineering, agentic AI, business workflow discovery, and end-to-end solution development. The position is based onsite in Beverly Hills, California.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with business teams to understand workflows, data, operational challenges, and opportunities for implementing agentic AI solutions.
• Design and develop AI agents and multi-step workflows using Claude.
• Enable AI agents to retrieve and reason over enterprise data, interact with tools and APIs, and perform actions across business systems.
• Build data integrations and pipelines to support AI-driven use cases.
• Develop and deploy solutions within AWS, integrating enterprise applications, APIs, and data sources.
• Rapidly prototype AI use cases and transition successful solutions into production environments.
• Implement evaluation frameworks, monitoring, guardrails, and continuous improvement processes for production AI agents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, production-ready AI solutions.
• Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle, from business discovery and prototyping through deployment and production support.
Required Qualifications:
• 5-10 years of engineering experience, preferably with a foundation in data engineering, data platforms, or data-intensive applications.
• Hands-on experience with Python, AWS, data pipelines, APIs, and enterprise data integration.
• Experience building LLM-powered applications, AI agents, or agentic workflows.
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases, structured and unstructured data, and enterprise retrieval solutions.
• Experience with Claude is preferred; hands-on experience with other large language models (LLMs) is also relevant.
• Strong understanding of tool/function calling, multi-step agent workflows, and orchestration.
• Ability to understand complex business workflows and translate ambiguous requirements into production-ready technical solutions.
• Experience taking solutions through the complete development lifecycle, from discovery and prototyping to production deployment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience building AI agents that reason over enterprise data and interact with business systems to complete tasks.
• Background in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data platform development.
• Experience supporting Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, CRM, Merchandising, Retail, or E-commerce workflows.
• Experience developing and implementing new AI capabilities in greenfield environments.
