Overview

J.Jill is seeking an AI Enablement Engineer to accelerate the practical adoption of artificial intelligence across the company. This highly visible, business-facing role will partner across functions and with the AI Steering Committee (AI SteerCo) to identify high-value opportunities, rapidly build and implement AI-enabled solutions, and embed AI into everyday work. Leveraging ChatGPT, Claude, and other emerging technologies, this individual will connect business challenges to AI capabilities and drive solutions from idea through implementation and measurable impact.

Responsibilities

AI Adoption & Solutions

  • Partner across J.Jill to identify and prioritize AI opportunities that improve productivity, speed, quality, customer experience, and business outcomes.
  • Design, prototype, test, and implement AI-enabled solutions, including prompts, agents, automations, workflows, integrations, and lightweight applications.
  • Translate AI capabilities into practical workflows and help teams move from opportunity identification through pilot and scaled adoption.
  • Build AI fluency through hands-on coaching, demonstrations, training, and sharing of effective practices.
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI across strategic priorities, including Brand & Product, Customer, Marketing, e-Commerce, Retail, and other enterprise functions.
  • Evaluate emerging AI capabilities and measure results through outcomes such as time saved, adoption, quality, cost savings, conversion, or revenue.

 

Governance & Partnership

  • Partner with AI SteerCo to maintain and prioritize a pipeline of AI opportunities and advance approved initiatives.
  • Ensure solutions align with J.Jill policies and requirements related to AI governance, security, privacy, legal, architecture, and responsible AI.
  • Collaborate with Information Services, Data & Analytics, Legal, Privacy, Security, and business teams to assess feasibility, data needs, risk, and implementation approach.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships, facilitate working sessions, and translate effectively between business and technical audiences.
  • Drive adoption through visible wins, practical examples, and repeatable solutions that demonstrate measurable business value.

 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, data/analytics, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience building, implementing, or enabling technology solutions, including hands-on experience with generative AI and large language models.
  • Practical experience with ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms, including prompt engineering and AI-enabled workflow design.
  • Experience building prototypes, automations, agents, integrations, or lightweight applications using APIs, low-code/no-code platforms, scripting, or development tools.
  • Ability to quickly understand business processes and translate ambiguous problems into practical, testable solutions.
  • Working knowledge of data, integrations, APIs, security, privacy, and responsible AI considerations.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and influencing skills; retail, consumer, e-Commerce, marketing, merchandising, or customer experience is a plus.
