Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY

The AI Creative Strategist works across the marketing team to build AI into how we concept, produce, and test creative, faster iteration, more variants. Just as importantly, this role decides where AI doesn't belong, and builds the guardrails that keep AI-assisted work recognizably PODS Moving & Storage.

Our brand is unusually specific about its visual assets. Generative tools are confidently bad at exactly these details. Someone has to know the standards well enough to catch it, and build a process where those errors don't reach a customer.

This is a hands-on role with an enablement mandate. You'll make work, and you'll make other people better and faster at making work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

AI-powered production
• Use AI tools hands-on across the creative pipeline: concept visualization, image generation and editing, resizing and adaptation, copy variation, video and motion assistance, and asset cleanup.
• Produce and adapt creative at volume for digital banners, social, CRM, and partner and co-branded materials, working from approved brand and campaign direction.
• Build variant sets that make real testing possible.
• Extend existing brand photography and asset libraries with AI-assisted work rather than replacing them, keeping a clear line between authentic photography and generated imagery.

Concept development
• Use AI to widen the front end of the creative process.
• Develop concepts grounded in the PODS brand.
• Bring an actual point of view to concepting. AI generates options; judgment picks the right one, and that judgment is the job.
• Partner with copy and content so concepts hold together verbally and visually.

Experimentation
• Own a running program of creative experimentation: what to test, how to structure it, and what we learned.
• Design creative tests with a clear hypothesis and a defined success measure, in partnership with the CRM, digital, and paid media teams who run them in market.
• Track and share results so the team compounds knowledge instead of rediscovering the same lessons.

Workflow building and enablement
• Design and document AI-assisted creative workflows end to end: brief, generate, curate, refine, brand check, legal review, approve, and archive.
• Build and maintain shared prompt libraries, reference imagery, style anchors, and reusable templates so quality is repeatable rather than dependent on one person's knack.
• Train and support colleagues across brand, digital, CRM, content, and partner marketing.
• Set clear guidance on where AI assistance is approved, where human review is mandatory, and where AI is not to be used at all.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES
• Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Head of Marketing
• Job is not directly responsible for direct report (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management)
