Full Job Description
Meyer Utility Structures are seeking a highly motivated and innovative AI Solutions Architect to lead the identification, development, and implementation of Artificial Intelligence solutions across our manufacturing and business operations.

This is an individual contributor role requiring someone who is equally comfortable working with manufacturing leadership, business users, and technical teams. The ideal candidate possesses a broad understanding of modern AI technologies including Generative AI, Machine Learning, Process Automation, Intelligent Document Processing, Predictive Analytics, and Computer Vision and can independently identify opportunities where these technologies create measurable business value.

This individual will immerse themselves in our steel utility pole manufacturing operations, develop a deep understanding of our business processes, and proactively recommend and implement AI-driven improvements that increase productivity, reduce costs, improve decision making, and enhance operational efficiency.

Because data is foundational to AI, this role will also serve as a Power BI resource responsible for developing enterprise dashboards, semantic models, executive reporting, and analytics that support strategic decision making.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement AI solutions that improve manufacturing, business processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand workflows, identify opportunities, and deliver measurable business value through AI and automation.
  • Research, prototype, and deploy modern AI technologies including Generative AI, Machine Learning, Intelligent Automation, Computer Vision, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Design and develop AI assistants, copilots, knowledge management solutions, and intelligent workflows using Microsoft and cloud-based AI platforms.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise Power BI dashboards, semantic models, reports, and analytics supporting executive and operational decision-making.
  • Build and optimize data models, SQL queries, APIs, and data integrations that enable AI and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate AI solutions with ERP, manufacturing, and enterprise systems.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve productivity, quality, and decision making.
  • Establish best practices for AI development, governance, data quality, and responsible AI usage.
  • Manage AI initiatives from concept through deployment while measuring business outcomes and return on investment. Measure solution effectiveness through KPIs and continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned by the IT Director


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, analytics, data engineering, AI, or business intelligence.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing AI solutions in business environments.
  • Strong Power BI development experience.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Experience with Python and/or C#.
  • Experience consuming and developing REST APIs.
  • Experience integrating multiple business systems.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to independently identify opportunities and execute projects.
  • Strong business acumen with a continuous improvement mindset.
