Full Job Description
About the Role

Equi is seeking an Agentic GTM Lead to build our go-to-market engine and own it as it scales. You design and run the systems that create demand, including content, social presence, SEO/GEO, and outbound, along with the automation and AI that tie them together. You own the machine end to end, from strategy to infrastructure to the pipeline and the audience it produces.

Above all, you come with ideas. This is not a role where we hand you a plan to execute. We know the messaging we want and have a hunch about what works, but we do not know which of the fifty things to try will actually generate meetings. That is your job. You bring out-of-the-box demand ideas, stand up multiple experiments at once, and have the instinct and the evidence loop to tell us what is working and what to kill. You are as willing to scrap two weeks of work that isn't producing meetings as you are to double down on what is.

We want a genuinely good, commercially-minded engineer. Whether you come at it from marketing or from engineering, you pair real technical ability with sharp commercial instinct. You don't just code. You can explain how a given build turns into meetings, pipeline, and dollars. You work like an engineer and a scientist: you build the system, then let rigorous, continuous testing decide what scales and what gets cut.

This seat has a deliberate growth path. As you automate the demand engine, ideally automating much of your own day-to-day away, you'll learn what Equi really is by doing the work. That is the ideal background for a client-facing IR or sales role: someone who already understands the product, the audience, and the systems, and can carry their own book with automation behind them. We're hiring for the engine first, but we're happy to grow the right person into the person who sells.

What You'll Do

Bring the Ideas
  • Serve as the source of net-new demand-generation ideas for Equi: the channels, angles, and experiments no one here has thought of
  • Come ready to build, test, and scrap fast, with the judgment to know which is which
  • Exercise significant autonomy, taking ownership of complex programs from conception through post-launch iteration

Build and Scale the GTM Engine
  • Take what's already working today, our current outbound and content, and turn it into a system that compounds
  • Build what's missing: content, social, SEO/GEO, email, outbound, website, and the automation underneath
  • Make critical technical decisions and architect scalable systems for a growing platform

Own the Content Machine
  • Run the Founders' content engine: podcast, video, and webinars, including how content gets produced, packaged, routed, and pushed across channels, and the cadence behind it
  • Turn one two-hour session with a principal into weeks of content: a podcast, a webinar clip, a LinkedIn post, a thread
  • Hold the cadence so there are no gaps. We should never be four months out wondering why a podcast hasn't shipped

Build Equi's Voice
  • Stand up and run our social and thought-leadership presence, LinkedIn and X especially, and build CIO-level visibility
  • Build toward a recognizable, near-viral voice positioning Equi as the experts in evergreen alternative solutions for the wealth channel
  • Own the voice and audience matrix that keeps every piece on-message for the right reader

Outbound and Agentic Automation
  • Build signal-based outbound: data enrichment, lead and account scoring, personalization, sequencing, deliverability, routing, and the CRM integrations that hold it together, all anchored to a clear ICP
  • Design and ship AI and agent workflows that research, draft, personalize, and route at a scale a human team can't match by hand

Experimentation and Measurement
  • Run many channels at once rather than one linear test at a time, with structured tests across messaging, channels, landing pages, and sequences
  • Own the dashboards and attribution on demand and pipeline contribution, and make the numbers legible to the GTM team
  • Ensure decisions run on evidence, not opinion

Who You Are

We are looking for candidates who possess a strong blend of technical ability, commercial instinct, creative range, and a proactive mindset.

Required
  • Idea Generation, First: You bring innovative demand ideas and an instinct for what makes a brand go viral or generate demand. You've seen what sticks and what doesn't, and you come ready to experiment and to throw work away fast when results are poor.
  • Demonstrated Demand Generation: You've built programs that produced real interest and pipeline through outbound, SEO/GEO, social, or content, and you can point to the numbers.
  • Real Engineering Ability: Comfortable with APIs, SQL, and a scripting language (Python or JavaScript), and hands-on with automation tooling (Clay, n8n/Zapier), CRMs, and data. You build, you don't just configure.
  • AI-Native: You build with LLMs and agent workflows as a core tool, not a novelty.
  • Passion for Investing: Experience can't substitute for an innate curiosity about the world of investing. Our audience is sophisticated, and you must share their passion and speak their language on day one.
  • Commercial Instinct: You can explain why a system will move revenue, not just that it runs.
  • Experimentation Mindset: You default to testing, measure everything, and let the data drive the roadmap.
  • Design and UX Sense: What you ship looks and feels sharp.
  • 0-to-1 Ownership: You've built something from nothing and owned the outcome.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred
  • Direct experience in alternative investments, hedge funds, or asset management
  • An obsession with finance or investing. A CFA or MBA is great
  • Experience standing up a GTM or growth marketing function from scratch
  • Data-warehouse familiarity (Snowflake/BigQuery/dbt) and attribution modeling
  • Interest in eventually moving toward a client-facing IR or sales role
  • A pinch-hitter streak: you can step into an adjacent fire, whether IR, client service, or a launch, rather than staying narrowly in lane

Defining Our Ideal Candidate: Key Traits in Action

Beyond technical skills, we seek people who embody specific traits that are crucial to our culture and success. These qualities are interconnected and define how we approach building demand.

Commercially-Minded

We value builders who look beyond the system to understand the bigger picture. A commercially-minded GTM engineer at Equi is deeply curious about the "why": Why this channel? Who is the reader? What actually turns attention into a meeting? They engage with stakeholders across the company, offer thoughtful suggestions, constructively challenge assumptions, and propose alternative approaches based on their technical insight and understanding of the audience. They excel at evaluating the trade-off between build effort and commercial impact, and they can always trace a line from what they shipped to the pipeline it produced.

High Autonomy

Trust is fundamental to how we work, and we empower this seat with significant autonomy. High autonomy at Equi means having the freedom to determine the best way to hit an agreed goal. People who thrive here are self-starters, comfortable navigating ambiguity, proactively seeking information, and taking ownership of their work end to end. This freedom comes paired with accountability: you own your decisions and outcomes, learning and adapting from both successes and setbacks in a psychologically safe environment.

Bias Toward Action

In a firm scaling this fast, speed and decisiveness matter. A bias toward action at Equi means valuing progress and learning through doing rather than getting stalled by over-analysis or the pursuit of unattainable perfection. You make calculated decisions with incomplete information, understanding that most choices are reversible and that iteration leads to better results. You break large problems into manageable steps, run experiments readily, and use feedback to adjust course quickly. You are as comfortable killing something that isn't working as launching something new.
