Neon is looking for an Aerospace Quality Director to help build the quality systems, team, and operating discipline needed to take parts and assemblies from prototype into production. This role will lead the quality function across development, manufacturing, supplier quality, and production readiness, ensuring the company can scale with strong process control, repeatability, and compliance. You will play a key role in helping a growing aerospace organization move from fast iteration to reliable production without losing technical rigor.

What You'll Bring- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, aerospace, or a related technical field; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience managing a growing department of direct reports responsible for all aspects of product and process quality.
- Significant progressive experience in aerospace quality, manufacturing quality, supplier quality, or quality systems leadership.
- Experience helping move parts, assemblies, or hardware programs from prototype into production.
- Experience building or improving quality systems in a growing manufacturing organization.
- Strong background in inspection planning, process controls, nonconformance management, and corrective action.
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to improve quality and production readiness.
- Experience with supplier quality management and supplier issue resolution.
- Strong problem-solving skills, judgment, communication, and ability to drive accountability across teams.
- Ability to work across office, lab, and production environments.
- Ability to support periods of increased workload tied to builds, ramp activity, and issue resolution.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- May be required to meet export control, ITAR, confidentiality, or site access requirements.
Preferred- Advanced degree in a relevant technical discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- ASQ certification or equivalent quality credential.
- Experience with first article inspection, process validation, control plans, or production quality planning tools.
- Experience in high-growth aerospace, defense, or advanced hardware manufacturing environments.
- Experience building quality organizations during production scale-up.

This is the expected compensation range for this role. Final compensation will be based on role scope, experience, skills, internal equity and location. This role may also be eligible for bonus/equity/benefits, if applicable.
