Summary:

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner will perform exams and health screens, manage chronic conditions, teach and counsel patients, conduct and interpret diagnoses and laboratory tests, create care plans, promote wellness, and coordinate referral care with specialists.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.
  • Order tests to ascertain the nature and extent of illnesses and injuries.
  • Prescribe medications to remedy medical problems.
  • Provide patient education and counseling.
  • Stitch wounds and set bones.
  • Administer immunizations.
  • Promote good health practices.
  • Travel every other week for 2-3 consecutive days to locations throughout Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas.
  • This job is safety sensitive for medical marijuana purposes.
  • This position requires driving a personal vehicle on behalf of the company or a company vehicle; therefore, the applicant must successfully complete a motor vehicle records check, possess, and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, and immediately self-report convictions/violations/tickets to the DOT Compliance Specialist as per Company Policy. Any negative change in the status of the employee's driving record may result in the revocation of the employee's privilege to drive for the company.
  • All other tasks as assigned.

Education/Skill Requirements:

  • Board Certified and have current Licensing.
  • Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • This position requires strong organizational skills.
  • Patience, problem-solving skills and strong communication ability.
  • Bilingual is preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to continuously sit, stand, or walk.
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work environment:

  • Office, job site, job trailer, or field office.
