Full Job Description
Hourly Pay Range:
$56.25 - $72.12 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Overview:

We are recruiting a PA or APN to join our established pulmonology team. The APP will see new and established patients as well as hospital follow ups of general pulmonology patients. Experience in primary care, hospital medicine, or pulmonology is desired, but the team is willing to consider motivated new grads.

Position Highlights:
  • Position: Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) - General Pulmonology
  • Setting: Outpatient only
  • Location: Evanston Hospital; Swedish Hospital, Chicago; Skokie Medical Office Building (possible addition of this site based on volumes and needs of service line)
  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week (36 hours direct patient care and 4 hours of administrative time)
  • Hours: Monday - Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
  • No Weekends
  • No Call
  • Sign on bonus eligible for experienced candidates


Job Description

Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health in the Pulmonology Department. Under the direction of the collaborating physician(s), provides care to patients. Obtains detailed histories and performs physical examinations, orders imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures and interprets results. Instructs patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen and pre/post operative instructions. Maintains records and writes progress notes on status, treatments and procedures. Follows patients through their course of treatment in the clinic and hospital setting. Collaborates with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate. Demonstrates evidence-based practice. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty. Assesses the learning needs of patients and families across the continuum. Employs strategies, interventions and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health. Provide comprehensive health assessments, formulate differential diagnoses, and prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease. Promotes wellness and prevention of illness and injury in various settings for individuals, families, and communities. Works autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as a resource and consultant. Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promotes a high-quality patient experience. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals. Supports the strategic plan of the organization. Adheres to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • License: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
  • Education: Completion of master's level program in specialty area
  • Certification: BLS/CPR certification required
  • Experience: Prior APN/PA experience preferred
