Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) for Nurse Practitioners (NPs); Master's degree for Physician Assistants (PAs)
• Valid and unrestricted NP or PA state license
• Clinical competency in performing GI-focused assessments
• Ability to interpret liver function tests, imaging, and biopsy results
• Effective communication skills with a focus on empathy

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive history and physical exams for new and returning GI patients
• Manage and treat common GI disorders
• Order, interpret, and explain diagnostic tests including lab panels and imaging
• Educate patients on pre and post-procedure care for endoscopies and colonoscopies
• Write and renew prescriptions and manage biologic therapies
• Coordinate intravenous (IV) infusion therapies
